Shef Food & Wine is Bringing the Food, Culture & Community to Dallas
Updated: Oct 5
And It’s About More Than What’s on the Plate
By Dallas Black Bloggers
There are plenty of food festivals where you can eat well for a weekend. But Shef Food + Wine is trying to create something that lasts long after the last plate has been cleared.

Now in its third year, The Shef Food + Wine Festival brings together chefs (of course!), winemakers, spirits brands, hospitality professionals, artists, and food lovers for a weekend centered around food, culture, community, and the people behind the hospitality industry.
And at the heart of the festival is a mission that goes beyond the guest experience.
More Than What's on the Plate
Food is just the starting point for this festival —not the entire story.

"This is our third year, and every year we're reminded why we started it in the first place," Chef Tiffany shared.
"This year feels especially meaningful because Shef continues to grow, but the heart of it hasn't changed," she said.
For Master Chef Tiffany Derry, that means creating a space where people can celebrate food and hospitality while investing in the people who will shape the industry's future.
"We want to shine a light on talented chefs and hospitality professionals who deserve to be seen, heard and supported."
With chefs, partners, and guests return year after year, Shef Food & Wine is becoming more than an annual event. It's a community.

Why Dallas?
For Chef Tiffany, the answer is personal.

The city has become a natural home for SHEF because of its diverse food culture, talented chefs, and constantly evolving hospitality community.
But there's something else Dallas brings to the table: its ability to bring different worlds together. All of it can exist in the same room.
And Chef Tiffany believes that's exactly why a festival like Shef belongs here.
"There is so much talent in Dallas and across Texas," she shared, "and we want to give people a platform while also bringing incredible talent from around the country into our community."
That's a particularly important part of Shef's story.
So, what does Chef Tiffany hope guests take away from the weekend?
In one word: inspiration.
Maybe you meet a chef whose story inspires you.
Maybe you discover your new favorite restaurant.
Or maybe you simply leave feeling a little more connected to your community.
That's the experience Shef hopes to create.
And Chef Tiffany has a simple way of describing what she wants guests to feel when they leave:
"I want people to feel full in every sense of the word – full from the food, but also full of inspiration, connection and possibility."
"I want guests to laugh, dance, eat something amazing, meet someone new and maybe even see themselves in a chef or hospitality professional they didn't know before," Tiffany said.
"And I want the chefs and rising professionals who participate to feel like there's a community behind them."
If you're a Dallas food lover, hospitality enthusiast, or simply someone who loves discovering new experiences and supporting the people creating them, Shef Food + Wine deserves a spot on your calendar.
This is an invitation to experience what's possible when food, culture, community, and opportunity come together.
